FOR MY FRIENDS

For your listening pleasure..."Angels Among Us"

Each of us have our own thoughts and beliefs as to what
FRIENDS are to US.

Our friends are like angels who brighten our days.
In all kinds of wonderful magical ways.
Their thoughtfulness comes, as a gift from above.
And we feel we're surrounded by warm, caring love.
Like upside-down rainbows their smiles bring the sun.
And they fill ho-hum moments with laughter and fun.
Friends are like angels without any wings.
Blessing our lives with the most precious things.

I would like to mention some of my "ANGEL" friends -
The most special ANGEL in my life is my wife,
and dear friend, ROSINA! (I love you Baby...)

Marcelle Kincaid, Susan Lee, Lee Ann Graves,
Frances & R.C., Jim & Dot Stewart,
Ginger Casement, Troy & Beth Price, Kay North,
Wayne & Teri Corley, Judy Newson,
Scott & Jessica McLendon, Allison Ellis,
Marlene Wells, Ikey Harris, Sonny Bailey,
Ken Durastanti, Tim & Lisa Tlswinn,
Billy & Erma Cotton, and some of my Canadian friends, Penny Clancy, Cherin Lee, Ethel McKay.

If your name is not here, it is simply when asked to make up a list, I jotted down quickly names I wanted to mention. I will be updating often, and your name WILL appear.

Don't walk in front of me,
I may not follow.
Don't walk behind me,
I may not lead.
Just walk beside me and be my friend.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
A real friend
is someone who walks in
when the rest of the world walks out.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
Forgiveness is the glue
that repairs broken relationships.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
Nature has given to men one tongue
but two ears,
that we may hear from others
twice as much as we speak.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
True friends are like diamonds,
precious and rare.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
A friend is someone who knows
the song in your heart,
and can sing it back to you
when you have forgotten the words.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
A friend is one who believes in you
when you have ceased
to believe in yourself.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
It takes a long time
to grow an old friend.
And I feel proud I have all of you.

My Friend and Page-Designer, Penny from Canada,
would like to share her thoughts of what a TRUE FRIEND is....

A true friend listens to what you say.
Life's a sculpture. Friends are clay.
Friends are notes to life's great song
A melody that carries you along
Whether its a joy or fear
Whenever life is hard, they are near
In a world of darkness, friends are light
So thank you lucky stars tonight
When life gets hard and goals seem far
It's then you'll know who your true friends are.

Today is a Gift
Many people walk in and out of your life, but only true
Friends will leave footprints in your heart.
To handle yourself; use your head;
To handle others; use your heart;
Anger is only one letter short of danger
If someone betray you once, it is his fault;
If he betrays you twice, it is your fault.
Great minds discuss ideas;
Average minds discuss people.
He who loses money, loses much;
He who loses a friend, loses much more;
He who loses faith, loses all.
Beautiful young people are accidents of nature,
But beautiful old people are works of art.
Learn from mistakes of others.
You can't live long enough to make them all yourself.
Friends, you and me....
You brought another friend...
We started our group...
Our circle of friends...
And like that circle...
There is no beginning or end...
Yesterday is History.
Tomorrow is Mystery.
Today is a Gift!

Do you Live Your Dash?

I read of a man who stood to speak
At the funeral of a friend
He referred to the dates on her tombstone
From the beginning.....to the end.

He noted that first came her date of birth
And spoke the following with tears,
But he said what mattered most of all
Was the dash between those years (1934 - 2000)

For that dash represents all the time
That she spent alive on earth...
And now only those who loved her
Know what that little line is worth

For it matters not, how much we own;
The cars...the house...the cash,
What matters is how we live and love
And how we spend our dash.

So think about this long and hard...
Are there things you would like to change?
For you never know how much time is left,
That can still be rearranged.

If we could just slow down enough
To consider what's true and real,
And always try to understand
The way other people feel.

And be less quick to anger,
And show appreciation more.
And love the people in our lives
Like we've never loved before.

If we treat each other with respect,
And more often wear a smile...
Remembering that this special DASH
Might only last a little while.

So, when your eulogy's being read
With your life's actions to rehash
Would you be proud of the things they say
About how you spent your dash?

Friends are very DEAR...
Treat them how you would like to be TREATED!
Thanks for dropping by my Friend Site...
I hope you enjoyed your stay and
you leave feeling warm and tingling inside,
knowing in your heart you are the BEST you can be,
to all the precious lives around you.
